About this Workshop

Do you look at the problems around you and see no hope? Or do you look at them and say, “I will do something about this?”

If you see yourself as the change agent, this workshop will offer self assessment tools and reflective activities to help you determine personal areas where you can contribute and those areas you can develop. With on-line assessments and learning activities, this interactive, introspective workshop is designed to help you assess where you are and plan your development as a leader in your circle of influence.

Tentative Agenda

Using the philosophy of self assessment, challenge, and support, this workshop will be an initial step in understanding

  1. The whole person paradigm
    1. We will look at Stephen Covey’s 8th Habit which delves into the whole person paradigm: Body, Spirit, Mind and Emotions as a conduit for developing one’s self. The concept is that one cannot lead others if they have no commitment to excellence and integrity themselves.
  2. From that whole person paradigm we will conduct self assessments. These will be mostly done prior to the workshop since at least one instrument will be a 360 instrument which requires the input of peers and others.
  3. The results will then be analyzed within the context of social learning with feedback and application
    1. The feedback will be in small group structured discussion. This is an active learning experience. No one will sit idle.
    2. The application will be in the form of a challenge within one’s own organization. We will be developing action plans during the workshop that will incorporate your results (strengths and weaknesses) into an individual action plan within the context of your organization and personal supports.
  4. The last aspect of support will rely on personal and professional supports. I am in the process of setting up an on-line support board to complete the leadership development cycle of self assessment, challenge and support.
